HERO for Florence – Homage to David – Temporary public sculpture by Antonio Pio Saracino, installed at the Accademia Gallery, Florence in 2015. Crafted from Carrara marble and steel bars, this unique 17’ edition pays tribute to Michelangelo’s “David” and complements Saracino’s New York “Hero” sculpture from Three Bryant Park. Commissioned by GEM and exhibited during Expo Milano 2015, it symbolizes artistic dialogue, Italian heritage, and the friendship between Italy and the United States.
