Hero for Florence – Homage to David presents a new edition of Antonio Pio Saracino’s sculpture Hero at the Accademia Gallery during Expo Milano 2015. Inspired by Michelangelo’s David, the 17-foot Carrara marble work reinterprets the Renaissance icon as a contemporary civic symbol, celebrating Italian craftsmanship and the enduring cultural friendship between Italy and the United States.
