Brooklyn Museum Permanent Collection

The Cervo Chair by Antonio Pio Saracino has been acquired for the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum’s Decorative Arts Department. Formed from thin bentwood strips evoking a deer’s ribcage and antlers, the chair explores traditional plywood through a complex, inside-out structural system. This approach enhances strength while reducing material at the seat-back junction to increase flexibility and comfort.
