Centre Pompidou Permanent Collection

Paris, Centre Pompidou, from January 2016

In January 2016, the maquette of Antonio Pio Saracino’s Observation Tower entered the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Designed for a countryside site near Carcassonne, the 25-foot tower provides panoramic views and serves as a regional landmark. Constructed from woven stainless steel tubes and a floating red steel staircase, the structure references the area’s historic castle towers while offering an elevated space for observation and rest.
