Memorial Mausoleum
South of France
Project Designer: APS Designs
APS Designs conceived this Memorial Mausoleum as a place of remembrance shaped by silence, light, and permanence. Framed by cypress trees, reflecting pools, and monolithic stone walls, the project unfolds through a sequence of layered arches that create depth, ritual, and a measured sense of arrival. Their receding perspective reinforces the spatial experience of memory, passage, and reflection. Natural stone, dark metal, and water are composed with restraint, giving the architecture a timeless gravity while preserving intimacy and calm. More than a funerary structure, the mausoleum is imagined as a space where memory is held through proportion, landscape, and enduring architectural presence.
