ARC of EARTH is a symbolic gateway marking the arrival of pilgrims along the Via Francigena, situated between the Monasteries of Santa Maria di Stignano and San Matteo. The installation honors the local community’s identity, reflecting the enduring influence of Nature and Faith on the region.
Arc of Earth is a symbolic gateway conceived as part of Three Arches of Gargano, a territorial project linking three cities through a contemporary narrative of pilgrimage, identity, and spiritual continuity. Located in San Marco in Lamis, the work draws on the region’s natural stone formations and expresses the enduring relationship between faith, landscape, and local memory, marking the first stage of a broader civic and cultural journey across the Gargano.
