Brooklyn Museum Exhibition
The Brooklyn Museum’s Contemporary Art and Design gallery highlights Brooklyn’s legacy—and future—as a groundbreaking creative hub. Featuring artists who live and work in the borough, alongside works fabricated here, the installation reflects a shared ecosystem of studios, workshops, and making. In dialogue with the Museum’s Dutch colonial Jan Martense Schenck house, the contemporary pieces illuminate how individual practices contribute to a larger Brooklyn history and cultural landscape. Antonio Pio Saracino’s Cervo Chair, part of the Brooklyn Museum’s permanent collection for several years, is included in the exhibition, contributing to the critical dialogue at the intersection of art, design, craft, and innovation.
