Artereal Gallery Exhibition
Group Show, Sydney, Australia, August-September 2011
At Sydney Design 2011, Antonio Pio Saracino and fellow artists reinterpreted traditional furniture using contemporary technology. Saracino’s Ray Chair modernizes the armchair, drawing on New York skyscrapers, Italian church architecture, and natural forms like sun rays. Constructed from cellular closed-cell foam, its ray-like elements flex to the sitter’s body while evoking pixelated or crystalline patterns, blending tradition with 21st-century design.
