America Architecture Award

Museum of Arch, Chicago, August 2007

The Seed House, recipient of a 2007 American Architecture Award, is a conceptual 1,400-square-foot country residence designed for an art collector in upstate New York. Inspired by a seedpod, the house features an organic form integrated with the surrounding landscape. Its cedar-clad shell opens through roof and wall slits to reveal a vibrant interior, fostering a dialogue between architecture and nature while blending seamlessly into the wooded environment.
