Tweezerman Boutique, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Tweezerman’s first retail boutique concept for a flagship, bi-level shop and spa was developed for this location in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The design concept features an undulating wall of stacked tubes, the hollow openings of which serve as product display cases that focus attention on Tweezerman’s award-winning beauty tools. Each tube has a different profile; when the tubes are next to each other, they create a seamless, continuous, curved, dimensional wall.
The product wall sits on one side of the shop, while the wave formation created by the stacked tubes extends up to the spa on the second level and out to the street to attract customers. The boutique’s rolling interior architecture is echoed by the building’s elastic exterior, which protrudes onto the sidewalk and engages passersby by blurring the distinction between public and private space.
